With the large number of IIT JEE books available in market it is natural for people to get confused. This JEE video discusses the best IIT JEE study material for Physics and Maths, and helps the students choose the best books for JEE 2013. Though NCERT books are great for strengthening concepts, the syllabus for NCERT is more suited for AIEEE than IIT JEE. Therefore for IIT JEE 2013, it would be more suitable for JEE Mains than JEE advanced. Students must not waste time reading things that are out of JEE syllabus and class XI and class XII syllabus. H C Verma is a very good book for JEE Physics preparation, and the problems are pretty complex. I E Irodov has a lot of very good problems, but a few are out of JEE syllabus. Students can buy solutions of Irodov if you wish. Krotov is another great book, but students must solve it only if they have a lot of time. Also, the problems in Resnick and Halliday old books were better than the new one, but the new is good as well.
